Making a 'Thabla' - drum, Matthegoda, Sri Lanka.

The making of drums is a family tradition going back for generations past.
The skin of the drum is made from goat or cow hide. The string is from camel skin imported from India. The body of  the drum is from a Margosa or coconut trunk.
