'Bathalagala' - Bible rock, seen from the climb to Kadugannawa, Sri Lanka.
I took this picture from a Sony Mavica, while driving up to Kadugannawa from Mawanella. It was a cloudy morning and a ray of sunshine streamed down between the clouds to illuminate the valley below. The famous land mark called 'Coffin rock' by the Dutch and 'Bible Rock' by the British forms the background to the picture.
Birds among the 'pandanus' trees on the Negombo Lagoon, Sri Lanka.
While on a boat ride on the Negombo Lagoon, starting from Duwa, the bird life among the 'pandanus' trees was a beautiful sight. I took this picture around 2pmm on a slightly cloudy day.
Mountains of Haputhale - Ella, Udawalawe, Sri Lanka.
I took this picture from the roadway straddling the bund of the Udawalawe reservoir, in the south of Sri Lanka. I took this picture around 10amn and the lingering mists on the mountains created a fascinating picture. A gentle breeze was blowing across the reservoir and causing ripples on its surface.

'Nellama' - The fish market, Duwa, Sri Lanka.
I took this picure from a boat on the Negombo Lagoon on a sunny day. The wholesale fish market where the trawlers bring their catch and is auctioned is shown as a proud land mark.

The Haputhaley valley as seen from the Railway Station.
I took this picture in the afternoon, against the sun. The valley was slightly misty and the air was cold. The mist on the distant mountains gave a beautiful effect to the landscape.

Looking across the valley of Castlereigh, Sri Lanka.
The mist covered hills seen across the valley where the Castlereigh reservoir is situated, brings visions of Paradise. I took this picture around 2pm from a Guest House.
