Railway line paralleling the A9 highway - Vavuniya to Puliyankulam, Sri Lanka.
Forwarded. Actually on the way to Madhu off Mannar Rd, the sides close to the road was not safe due to uncleared landmines. They are cleared foot by foot and may take months more as well as necessary collateral damage if someone gets blown off. ‘Collateral’ is not a dirty word, ask the U.S. and the UN.
In 1965 the Yal Devi- we were with driver Fobes in front- from Jaffna to Colombo- the jungle trees practically brushed our carriages. jksw
