Adam's Peak seen from Lellopitiya, Sri Lanka.
I took these two pictures from the 'Sun Ray Inn' at Lellopitiya on the road from Rathnapura to Pelmadulla. The first picture shows the horizon outlining the distant hills. The second one shows a close up of Adam's Peak - 'Samanala Kanda' S, 'Sivanoli Paada Malai' T. You can see the temple at the peak. You can also see the outline of the 'Baana Samanalakanda' S - the nephew of Samanala Kanda, in front of it.

Adam's Peak, Sri Paada, Sivanoli Paada Malai.
I took this picture of the cloud-touched peak of Adam's Peak, from the road on the approach to Ginigathena, past Kithulgala. It was a gray cloud-cast morning. A few minutes later the peak was covered by clouds and was not visible. Such is the enchanting beauty of this mountain. It is now the season for climbing the peak. The climbing season starts in December and lasts till July (Poson).

Adam's Peak, Seen from Kaluaggala, Sri Lanka.
Driving from Avissawella to Colombo in the morning around 5.30am, at the bifurcation of the roads to High Level and Low Level roads, I saw this sight of Adam's Peak through the early morning mist. I took this picture on a Nikon, in the late 1990s.
