Naval Museum, Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.

Six inch naval guns guarding the Trincomalee harbour. These belonged to the British Colonial Era - 1940s.

The air vents for the concrete bunkers below the gun emplacements.
Similar guns guarded the entrances to the Singapore Harbor where another British Naval base was situated. The Japanese came overland from Malaya and easily captured Singapore during the Second World War.
